BossCE AI
Last updated: October 2026
BossCE AI is a clinical reference assistant for dental and medical professionals. This guide explains how to get reliable, well-sourced answers. Please read our Clinical Advisory and Terms of Use before using it.
How BossCE AI Works
When you submit a question, BossCE AI runs a live literature search, reads any documents or images you have uploaded, and writes a structured answer. Every answer includes:
- Clinical Summary: the bottom line in three or four sentences
- Analysis: the reasoning, options and evidence in detail
- Comparative Data: a comparison table, when one is useful
- BossCE Library (Reviewed Documents): shown when the answer used IFUs, guidelines or papers from the BossCE Library
- Key Sources: numbered links to the guideline bodies, journals and academic sources retrieved for that answer
- Other Sources Searched: a collapsible list of the remaining sources found
BossCE AI does not write its own references. Sources are attached automatically from the live search, and statements are linked to them by number. See How to Read the Source Numbers below.
Step 1: Ask a Clear Clinical Question
Type your question in the box on the BossCE AI page and click Submit Query. Better questions get better answers. Include:
- Patient age and relevant medical history (no names or identifiers)
- Current medications and doses, where relevant
- The specific procedure, material, drug or decision you are weighing
- Your jurisdiction if guidelines differ by country (for example, “using Malaysian MOH guidance”)
Example Dental Questions
- “Compare MTA, Biodentine and TheraCal LC for direct pulp capping of a deep carious lower molar with bleeding controlled in under 5 minutes.”
- “Patient on apixaban for atrial fibrillation needs two simple extractions. How should anticoagulation and local haemostasis be managed?”
- “Which universal adhesive protocol gives the most reliable bond to sclerotic dentine in non-carious cervical lesions?”
Example Medical Questions
- “68-year-old with type 2 diabetes, eGFR 28, on metformin and gliclazide, HbA1c 8.4%. How should glucose-lowering therapy be adjusted?”
- “Empirical antibiotic choice for community-acquired pneumonia in an adult with penicillin allergy, using current guideline recommendations.”
- “Which perioperative medications should be held before elective surgery in a patient on an SGLT2 inhibitor and a DOAC?”
Step 2: Upload Documents or Images (Optional)
You can upload product IFUs, drug labels (SmPC or package inserts), papers or anonymised clinical images for BossCE AI to read alongside your question.
- Accepted formats: PDF, Word (DOCX), TXT, JPG, PNG, WEBP and HEIC (the default iPhone photo format). Word documents are read as text, so images inside them are not included
- Limits: up to 5 files at a time (10 with BossCE AI Pro), 20 MB each
- Duration: uploaded files stay active for your session for up to about 48 hours, then expire automatically
- Anonymise first: crop or black out names, ID numbers, dates of birth, record numbers and faces before uploading
Ask a specific question about the file, for example: “Summarise the contraindications and dosing in renal impairment from this uploaded drug label” or “Describe the radiographic features visible on this anonymised periapical image.”
Image observations are general AI descriptions, not diagnoses. Always confirm with clinical examination and appropriate tests.
Step 3: Follow Up or Start Over
- Follow-up questions: BossCE AI remembers the last few exchanges in your session, so you can ask follow-ups such as “What if the patient is also on clopidogrel?”
- Clear Discussion: starts a fresh conversation and removes your uploaded files from the session. Use it when switching to a new patient case.
- Share This Answer: sends the question and answer to a colleague by WhatsApp, your phone’s share options or copy and paste, with a link that opens the same question in BossCE AI. Check that the question contains no patient details first. BossCE does not save or publish shared answers.
How to Read the Source Numbers
BossCE AI only answers from sources it can show you: a live search of guidelines and published evidence, documents in the BossCE Library, or files you upload. It does not answer clinical questions from memory alone.
- Numbers in the answer: a number such as [1] or [2, 4] after a statement shows which source supports it. Match it to the numbered list under Key Sources or Other Sources Searched, and open the link to check the original.
- Statements without a number: usually general explanation or a summary of several sources. If a key dose, figure or recommendation has no number, check it before relying on it.
- Source check note: if only part of an answer could be linked to a source, a note appears under the answer. Treat unnumbered statements with extra caution.
- BossCE Library documents: listed under BossCE Library (Reviewed Documents), and named in the answer in plain words, for example “according to the MOH Malaysia CPG”.
- “The sources found do not address this”: BossCE AI says this instead of guessing when the evidence does not cover part of your question.
- “No Verified Sources Found”: shown when no guideline or published source could be found. Rephrase with the condition, procedure, drug or product name, or upload the document you are working from.
A source number shows where a statement comes from, not that the source is correct. Your clinical judgement and the current guideline always come first.
The BossCE Library
The BossCE Library is a shared collection of product IFUs, technical data sheets, clinical guidelines and open-access papers that BossCE has reviewed. BossCE AI searches it on every question. When an answer draws on it, the documents used are listed under BossCE Library (Reviewed Documents). Browse the full BossCE Library.
- Your uploads stay private: files you upload in Step 2 are used only in your own session. They are never added to the library.
- Suggest a document: if you have a document that would help other clinicians, sign in and use Suggest a Document on your My Account page. Accepted formats are PDF, DOCX and TXT, up to 25 MB.
- How review works: each suggestion is pre-screened automatically for patient data, currency, accuracy, promotional content and copyright, then reviewed by BossCE. You will receive an email with the decision.
- Before you suggest: make sure the document contains no patient-identifiable information and that you are free to share it. Paywalled journal articles are usually not suitable.
Daily Usage Limits and BossCE AI Pro
To keep BossCE AI free and available for everyone, each account has a daily question limit. It resets at midnight, Malaysia time. When you reach it, you will see a message with your options.
| Account | Until 31 December 2026 | From 1 January 2027 |
|---|---|---|
| Guest (not signed in) | 3 | 3 |
| Students and non-practising researchers | 10 | 5 |
| Registered clinician (email confirmed) | 20 | 10 |

Launch offer: register and confirm your email by 31 December 2026, and you keep the launch limits (20 a day, 50 verified, 10 for students and researchers) through 31 December 2027.
Inviting colleagues also earns extra daily questions: see your referral link in My Account.
What BossCE AI Pro Adds
- More questions: up to 200 a day, for one person’s own clinical work.
- Deep reasoning: tick Deep reasoning above the Submit Query button before you ask. BossCE AI then uses a stronger AI model and about four times the thinking time. Answers take longer, often one to two minutes. Use it for complex, multi-factor cases, such as a medically compromised patient on several medications. Leave it off for quick, factual questions.
- More documents: up to 10 files per discussion instead of 5.
- PDF export: a Download PDF button under every answer, with its sources, for your records or a referral letter.
Answers are produced the same way for every user: the same sources, the same BossCE Library and the same independence rules. Pro adds capacity and tools; it never changes what the evidence says.
Plans: monthly USD 9 (RM 39 in Malaysia), cancel any time; 12 months USD 79 (RM 349), paid once; or a top-up pack of 30 extra questions for USD 3 (RM 12), valid 30 days and used only after your daily limit. See BossCE AI Pro. Manage or cancel your plan from My Account.
